BON to Nurse Administrators: Consider safety and quality of volunteer nurses

In view of the recent developments and issues about nurse-volunteerism, the Professional Regulation Commission(PRC), thru the Board of Nursing (BON), issued a statement reminding nursing service administrators to look after the safety and “extent of responsibilities and accountabilities of volunteer nurses while on volunteer practice.”

California Board of Nursing Fees Increase

California Board of Registered Nursing announced in it’s website the latest fees increase effective January 1, 2011. RN NCLEX Application fees will be doubled, from $75 to $150. Fingerprint Card processing fee is still at $51.
Fees for renewals,temporary licenses, interim permits and delinquent fees will also increase.
