HAAD Exam for Nurses
If you intend to work for a nursing job in UAE, one of the requirements is passing the HAAD exam for nurses. HAAD or Health Authority-Abu Dhabi is the regulatory body for all healthcare related professions, including Nursing, in UAE.
Just like NCLEX, HAAD exam is administered by Pearsonvue, and HAAD candidates can take it in any Pearsonvue Testing Centers around the world. If you’re a Filipino nurse, the you can take it in Pearson Test Center in Trident Tower, Makati.
Registration and Scheduling of HAAD exam
1. Go to http://www.pearsonvue.com/haad/capva/ and create a web account.
2. You are required to meet all of the eligibility criteria for nurses in order for your application to be accepted.
3. Wait for your username and password to be emailed to you within the next 48 hours. Be sure to check your junk/spam folders as Pearson mails could go to these folders.
4. Schedule your HAAD exam. You can do it online using the web account you created or via phone by calling Pearsonvue hotlines for HAAD exam.
5. Print your booking confirmation and bring it with you to the testing center. Candidates will receive a booking confirmation by email within 48 hours for the date and location that you will take the exam. If you do not receive the booking confirmation within 48 hours or if any of the information is erroneous, please contact Pearson VUE immediately thru phone or by email.

@ lai – SA DF verification wala pong magiging problema, accept lang naman po cla ng accept ng applications eh..
once tapos na sa DF verification then ittransfer na nila sa HAAD for the licensing process,, ung sa gap of experience may instances na hahanapan ka ng CNE to cover up the gap.. may iba namn na totally nakakalusot lang.. it all depends on who will be reviewing ur application..

Hi Sir Brax, may question po ako bali pano kaya toh may experience akong 1 year as a Dialysis Nurse nung MAY 2,2010 to MAY 2,2011 (total of 1 year) then after nun MAY 15, 2011 to SEPT. 15, 2011 (STAFF NURSE-4 mos.) sa ibang hospital. tapos nagpunta po ako sa Abu Dhabi ng SEPT. 27, 2011 kaso di ako naka apply as a nurse kulang kasi experience ko. nagwork ako sa ibang field hanggang ngaun naka employed pa rin ako sa OIL and GAS plan ko bumalik sa dating Hospital ko sa Pinas para pupunuin ko ang 8 mos. na kulang (bali ang date of nursing exp. ko is (March 15,2013 to November 15, 2013) okey lng po ba na may gap ako na more than 1 year? Mae – anong stage ung application mo? HAAD Exam or HAAD licensing? nakapagtake ka na ba ng HAAD Exam? before po ndi naman cla mahigpit if u want to take the HAAD exam they will allow you.. pero when it comes to licensing na dun na po nirereview ng mabuti ung experiences..
pls take note sa haad licensing may instances naman po na ung gaps mo sa experience ay kelangangan mong i-complete with CNE’s..

@ erick – ndi po ako sure,, ung sa amin po kahit 2 years na date ng exam tinatanggap pa naman po ng HAAD sa licensing process..
Oral exam – as far as i know ppag nagfill-up ka ng application for HAAD licensing ang ilalagay mo dapat ay:
Major: Registered Nurse
Professional: Registered Nurse (take note pls do not put Registered Nurse/Your Specialty dahil mag-eexam ka pag nilagay mo..

if you will try to include your experience jan sa Home Care, HAAD will definitely assume na may license ka na mag-practice.. at pag wala kang mai-present bka po lagot ka..

Nate – ang requirement tlaga na hinahanap para sa HAAD licensing ay 2 years.. in all honesty po, i doubt kung makakalusot sa HAAD ang application mo..
sa Dataflow ili-list mo ang experiences to cover 2 years and they will verify your employment,, just hope na hindi nila hanapan ng license mo sa pagpapractice mo ng profession sa Abu Dhabi..

des – para sa akin po, useless na magtake ka ng exam at this time.. volunteer nursing experience will not be counted sa experience..
realistically po here’s the scenario: magttake ka ng exam and by God’s grace pumasa ka this year 2013–>magsisimula ka maghanap ng full time work as Nurse (sana ma-accept agad sa pagaapplayan mong hospital sa pinas, what if mejo matagalan?) then kelangan mo ngang makumpleto ung 2 years na required ng HAAD.. who knows what will happen in 2yrs or more than 2 yrs time?? baka may expiration na ung validity ng HAAD exam, baka sabihin ng hAAD sa loob ng 2 years ng pagpasa mo ng HAAD Exam dapat may sponsoring hospital ka na sa UAE na magaaply ng HAAD license for u..
so sabi nga ng mga arabs, “mafi fayda” —> meaning “useless” po na magtake kung wala pang experience.. anyway d po ba nman pag naka-2 years experience ka na pwede kang mag-apply kinabukasan agad ng HAAD exam.. so my advise po is just wait till u comply with the requirements..
so kahit pumasa ka pa sa HAAD exam ngaun maghihintay ka pa din ng 2 years para makumpleto mo ung experience requirement.

been reading the post lately sir brax.. i don’t know kung scope mo p ang prob ko but try ko n dn. i already have the HAAD license, nka 1 year n dn ako working sa abu dhabi..here’s the prob im about to renew my license pero when i checked my dataflow report nlgyan pla ng agency ko sa pinas ng maling COE without my knowledge. considering sa exp ko i got 2 1/2 sa hosp from 2004-2006 then CI n ko till 2010 so im confident pasok n ko sa qualification kc my 2 years n ko sa hosp unless gusto nila n current ang hosp exp first employment ko kc ung hosp. we tried n ausin but my agency refused kc dw idedemanda ko dn nman dw cla so ng back out cla till now d p mlinaw license ko.i want sna n linisin cya legally kc my mga supporting papers nman ako from my employers ayw ko ng mga under the table matter kc meron mga issues n gnyan dto n naayos bsta mlkas ang PRO mo..bumbaba salary ko kc d nrenew license ko, ur wondrin but nandto p ako d nman ako pinauwi ng employer ko kc sbi tutulungan dw nila ako n ayusin so i stayed while waiting sa pgaayos nila..need to re-register ung license ko but sa doc n required need ng old dataflow ko ang prob ko is my neg report n dataflow ko pwede kya n wag n ipresent ung old dataflow ko at mgstart n lang ng bago uli..im so confused really, if u know anything to solve this nightmare pls let me know. bktima lang ako ng mga manggagantso n agency sa pinas mkpag paalis lang pti kpwa pinoy ilalaglag..tnx for your site..once my mkuha ka n info to help me pls let me know..

@ its me – may mga instances tlaga na nagkakaroon ng Neg DF Report, just d same don’t be discouraged especially if sabi mo nga, u have all the documents to prove ur case.. try to do this:
1. E-mail DF and tell them you want to verify additional experience (kahit ung wrong employment na lang ang ipa-verify mo). It might cost u 100 AED and up.. hindi ako sure kung papano ang magiging mode of payment mo so paki-tanong mo na lang once u e-mail them..
2. Attach a copy of your passport, the previous DF Result + the new docs you want to be verified on your e-mail

been dealing with this for 2 years already..marami ng gusto tumulong skin but puro under the table and ung iba nman my ibang hiningi n kplit. all i want is someone who can help me n ausin sa legal.

Hi Nurses,
If you have already cleared the HAAD Exam, might as well apply for Dataflow (DF) verification na din po (600 UAE Dirhams).. DF significantly reduces the recruitment process for prospective employers + may instances pa na magkakaroon kau ng better leverage sa paghahanap ng work dahil in-demand ang may DF mas makakapamili kau ng employer if ever (works at times, but not all the time).
Again, passing the HAAD exam is just the 1st step, what comes after that is the DF verification process. What they do in DF is they check/verify all of ur credentials (Education, License, work experiences). They will contact all of those involved until they confirm/verify that all of ur submitted details are authentic.
Once DF is done, DF Group will link your application in the HAAD website to continue the process of your HAAD licensing. It is in this stage na may 2 kaung option – either apply as a self-applicant (walang sponsor/employer) or apply under a facility (meaning may nakita na kaung employer at cla ang magtutuloy ng processing ng HAAD licensing nio)..
Home Care facilities in Abu Dhabi are very active now in hiring Female Nurses.. They offer as much as 5,000 Dirhams or even more,, sa Gov’t Hospitals naman ay mejo slim ang chance dahil most of the Nurses based-in UAE also would want to transfer so very stiff po ang competition..

pag walang previous result, i biliv pwede ka ulit mag-apply.. ang alam kong filter lang nila dun eh passport number at e-mail id, lumalabas minsan na once ka lang pwedeng mag-apply using the same passport or e-mail add..
so far, wala naman po akong alam na expiry ng HAAD exam,, others may answer ur question with regards this..

hi again sir brax..regarding s inquiries ko po,,, processing was paid by the agency.. wla n po kc ako update s processing simula ng hindi ko tinuloy ang application ko s agency.. the agency beforehand explained to me na maboblock list daw ako s pagapply ng HAAD liscensing once na hindi ko tinuloy ang application ko s kanila,, is it possible n mablocklist ako?
