The International Commission on Healthcare Professions (ICHP), a division of the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS International), administers the VisaScreen: Visa Credentials Assessment Program for registered
and practical nurses, physical therapists, speech language pathologists and audiologists, medical technologists, medical technicians, occupational therapists, and physician assistants who are not U.S. Citizens and are seeking an occupational visa to work in the United States. VisaScreen is a U.S. Federal
Government approved certification program which is required of the above listed professionals applying for an occupational visa.
The VisaScreen Program includes an education analysis,
licensure validation, English language proficiency assessment,
and in the case of registered nurses, an exam of nursing knowledge.
If you’re a Registered Nurse, you must pass NCLEX or CGFNS exam and IELTS(or other English proficiency exam) before applying for VisaScreen.

CGFNS revised its Certification Program(CP, with Exam), Credential Evaluation Service(CES) and Credential Verification Service(CVS, for NY) forms and handbook for 2010. Visascreen Application forms and handbook remains the same with its 2008 version.

Depende. Sometimes you dont have to. That’s why I highly suggest you do it online para makita mo kaagad ang status, if you still have to send them again.

If your IELTS is expired then you really have to take it again before renewing.

i need ur help so bad. i applied for visa screen online. nakapgbayad na po me nung visa screen fee. problem is i don’t know what to do next? how will you send your credentials like otr, prc, etc if your applying online? Is it through snail mail? if so, what address will i send it in?

You print the Request for License verification form at dalhin mo sa prc. Then print the Request for Academic records, dalhin mo sa school. You can check both forms sa Document Printing part.

hello po… i wanted to apply online for the NCLEX s chicago kaso hindi ko alam kung san mismo ako magpifill up online. Kasi ung nakikita ko downloadble. You can download the forms and fill up. But its better that you process CES application first.

Hi Sir, gusto ko sana mag tanong tinfoil po sa cgfns and nclex I want to take that exams kya Lang natatkot ako kc ang first name ko sa prc license at nga documents ko sa school my name is Joseph Ram pero sa passport ko at birth cert. Have the same query as len, ielts ko would expire this june 2011 pero yung nclex ko po sa 2012 pa naman. Maganda kaya sir na magpavisa screen na ako kahit na di pa naman active yung license ko sa California dahil wala pa pong SSN? ayoko na kasing umulit ng ielts kasi.. ^^ Thanks!

hi there..
i just graduated in the philippines, moved to new york and applied to cgfns-cvs a month ago. the cgfns-cvs-nysed-nclex process would take about 8 months or more. i only hold a tourist visa and my i-94 will expire in september. i only have 5 months left to legally stay here. could i file for an extension of stay? do you think i would be approved? i haven’t applied yet for the visa screen.. i want to wait till’ i pass the nclex so that i won’t have to take the cgfns exam. is this a good idea or should i already apply for the visa screen and take the cgfns exam. thank you

Hi recently passed my nclex rn exam fo Ca. Unfortunately, the lawyer i knew said i cant work in the US becausenof te retrogression. My question is this, i do not have an Ssn and how can i apply for an Eb3 visa? Do i need an employer for this?

Yes, because it’s the employer who will apply for that visa. and visa is retrogressed for more than 5 years now, as what your lawyer says.
