If you’re a foreign nurse and wishes to be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Nevada, you have to mind these things before you submit NCLEX application:
- CES application
- Nevada NCLEX Application form
- Fingerprint Cards
- Payments
Nevada NCLEX Application Notes:
- Nevada State Board of Nursing requires Social Security Number (SSN). Nevada NCLEX Applications will be accepted for processing without a U.S. SSN but a permanent license will not be issued without an SSN.
- Your NCLEX application for licensure is valid for one year from the date received by the Board, so be sure to complete the application within that period. It is your responsibility to follow up with the Board to determine the ongoing status of your NCLEX application.
- NCLEX Results: The Nevada Board will mail test results to your address of record. You should receive the written results within three to four weeks after the examination. The Board will not give you the results over the telephone.
- The Board no longer issues hard card licenses/certificates. You can check your license online.

You dont have to, i think. If you apply on a state that requires CES, you just have to explain in CES application that you’re a US citizen, not eligible to take, and don’t intend to practice nursing in the Phils.

at the website of the state board, it says there that they wouldn’t accept any documents without filing an application..

usually it’s done in a month. CES has license verification, but you can explain why you dont have it. it depends on the evaluation if they will accept your explanation.

Nonoy, kasi paalis na ako this year papuntang Nevada. 1st question ko is: Kailangan ba ako mag take ng CGFNS pag dun ako mag work?
2nd question: Graduate ako dito ng 2007 pero di pa ako nag take ng board exam ever since nag grad ako. Kailangan ba RN ako dito para makapag work ako sa Nevada?

1. No need, Nevada requires CES for licensure.

one thing more, kapag ba mag-susubmit ng application form by mail included na sa bayad dun yung finegrprinting fees? napadala ko na kasi ang application ko kaso hindi ko na-include yung fingerprinting fees..

CGFNS will automatically forward it to NV. Kasama ba sa packet mo ang fingerprint cards? If yes, dapat may payment.

hi, yung CES report will be electronically mailed to NV BON. Kahit nauna yung CES report mo kesa sa application form mo, NV BON will keep your CES report until your application form arrives.
Magkaiba yung address na pag sendan mo ng application for and fingerprint card.
once you send your application form, be sure to attach the payment for the application.
yung sa fingerprint naman, attach mo don yung para sa fingerprint payment lang.

Sir, yung application form lang yung na-mail ko a few weeks ago.. Kasi I just accomplished the form online, printed it then mailed it to NV. Included there is a personal check for the application amounting to $100. Tama ba ginawa ko? Kasi I haven’t yet received the fingerprint cards so hindi ko muna in-include dun yung fingerprinting fees. How long will I have to wait for the fingerprint cards to arrive? Will they first check my eligibility then dun pa lang nila i-mamail sa akin?, Or upon receiving my application ipapadala na nila sa akin yung cards? Medyo malapit lang kasi ako right now sa NV that’s why I’m kinda bothered..

They will send it to you upon receipt of application. if you’re there in NV you can use livescan facility instead of FP cards.

Gusto ko sanang mag take ng NCLEX exam. I have a multiple tourist US Visa already. Gusto ko sanang mag apply as a nurse sa Nevada. Ano po bang mas magandang gawin… mag NCLEX sa Nevada or dito na sa Phil.? Pag dito po ba ako sa Philippines mag NCLEX, kailangan ko pa rin i process muna ang CES?.. pls advice. Thanks

Hi sir nonoy, mejo confused lang po dun sa last part ng CFGNS-CES form regarding authorization. I am applying sa Nevada, then I’m using 3rd party authorization which is my aunt. Now, alin po ba ang ilagay kong authorized agent (authorization to release information form), is it the Nevada BON or my aunt? Just little bit confused. Thanks ahead.

Yung authorization form ay para sa magprocess ng application mo. you dont need to submit that if she’s still processing it under your name, i mean, if you’re just using it for mailing address.

Thanks sir noy, one more inquiry if you don’t mind. Nevada BON give my folks fingerprint cards. Where I will go if I received the cards? Is it in NBI? And for the CES, how much usually PRC charge? lastly, I just actually passed the July 2010 NLE, and our oath is set to be on Oct 7 since I’m here in the province. Can I request ahead of time in the PRC regarding my License and ratings? Or should I wait til I fully take an oath. Sayang kasi ang time eh, target namin mag take ako ng nclex by January.

Kung nabasa mo ang post above, yes they require SSN. they will allow you to sit for nclex but they wont issue license without ssn.

sir noy i am a newly graduate nursing student dito po sa pilipinas. kakapasa lang din po nitong july sa nle. i am planning to take the nclex at makatrabaho sa nevada. gusto ko lang po malaman kung pwede na po ba akong mag review pra sa nclex kahit di pa naka umpisa mag process ng application dahil wala pa po yung license? o dpat po ba unahin ko muna yung sa CES na application before mag review?

hi christine, we have the same case. Just passed the July NLE. I have fingerprint cards already. And I went to NBI na rin pero d pa ako nagpa print dahil sa date. I went to PRC din. D pa nila ako ini entertain kasi bz sila sa filing for our Oath, esp here sa province na sa Oct pa. Though I have pending application already sa CGFNS-CES online pero yun nga they need my license info. Yan ang ini-inquire ko sa PRC. I did request na rin sa school..on the way na rin pero d ko pa rin muna i-send or ipa-send kasi nga d pa ok ang online application. Sana I’m on the right track… I’m not sure if PRC will issue us ahead of license info kasi even some of my friends who passed last November wala pang license card…

Interim permit is issued upon receipt of application and CES, but it’s only valid for 90 days. Read the application packet about it.

Sir Noynoy, I’m applying for an NCLEX exam. I have completely submitted to CGFNS all the files and payment they are asking for. Currently, the status of my CES application is “READY FOR REVIEW”. According to CGFNS, they will notify me by mail of the status of my application. My questions are:
1.) Do I still have to receive that mail before I can submit to the Nevada State Board of Nursing my completed and signed Nevada NCLEX application form together with the Fingerprint Submission form and payment?
2.) In paying for the Nevada NCLEX application and Fingerprint cards, is it ok to pay by bank draft?

1. You can check the online status from time to time. If the report has been issued then you can submit the application.

I just want to ask what CGFNS CES to take for Nevada. In this link it shows that CGFNS CES HP and S report should be taken

Good day Sir Noynoy! Finally my CGFNS-CES Report has been issued online. My next step is to submit a completed and signed Nevada State Board of Nursing Application form for initial license of NCLEX-RN. Nabanggit po kasi sa application instructions na kasama nung application form ay ang APPLICABLE LICENSE and fingerprinting fees na ipapasa ko sa Nevada State Board of Nursing. My questions are:
a) Ano po ba itong APPLICABLE LICENSE na ito? Ito po ba yung CGFNS-CES Report ko na na-issue na sa CGFNS website?
b) Incase your answer is YES, yung printable APPLICANT’S COPY ng CES Report mula sa CGFNS website po ba ang dapat kong i-submit kasama nung application form and fingerprinting fees?

Saipan, Vermont pwede pa. Some states pwede mag-take without it, but u have to submit after passing to be licensed. Inquire here for details of different states.

i am applying for Nevada too. And i am waiting for my ATT this month. they dont need IELTS/CGFNS qualifying exam. but CGFNS-CES will handle the evaluation of your educational attainment and local license. to make the story short. walang problema basta paid lahat
but then mas advantage if you know someone there sa las vegas who will submit your application sa board personally.

CES, ielts. You can check the complete requirements sa site nila.
