Here are some of the information on NCLEX Application at Vermont Board of Nursing for graduates of international nursing schools, including the Philippines.
Vermont requires:
- CES Report Application from CGFNS
- Vermont NCLEX Application Form
- Passport in lieu of SSN
- Payment thru money order, bankdraft.
Additional Notes:
- Vermont NCLEX Renewal is every odd year (e.g. 2011, 2013…)
- You can put your Vermont license in Inactive status.

Vermont NCLEX License Inactive Status

Vermont Nurse NCLEX License Renewal is biennial, and will be due this March 31, 2011. But instead of renewing your license, Vermont Board of Nursing gives you the option of putting it in an Inactive status if you are not practicing or do not intend to practice nursing in Vermont. This is especially good provision for international nurses who are licensed in Vermont but not physically present to practice there, for it saves $90 of renewal fee every odd year.

Sir Noy, just want to ask, bcoz I already submitted the req. for CES,& after 5 wks. they replied for an incomplete docs. on my nursing school, so i send that one immediately, but all the other docs. meets all the requirements for CES report, my question is…Will the time period be shorten for them to come up with a CES report or I still need to wait for another 5 wks for that matter?

If you have passed all the requirements incl the CES, mga 1 month andyan na. Pero depende rin sa dami ng nag-aapply. Yes, pwede basta you comply with Cali req for endorsement, like SSN.

Just have a quick question in filling out the Sec. 11 (Your Education) of the CES form. What will i put in the space where it says Name of Diploma or certificate in its original language…? And can i just submit a photocopy of my diploma? D ko po kasi alam kung ano yung External Exam Certificate from your secondary school (or secondary school equivalent0 eh.

And sir noy i would like to ask na rin kung dapat bang ipa notarize yung CES application ko pati lahat ng fotocopies (i.e. fotocopy ng high school and college diploma)? And also do i need tgo submit an English Translation of my college diploma? I’m a second courser and yung diploma ko sa first course ko was in Tagalog but i do have a fotocopy of the english translation of it, ok lang po ba na fotocopy na lang ng translation nya or do i have to secure an original copy of the translation? You dont have to enter the non-nursing education mo. No need to notarize kung walang instructions. I also suggest that you apply online, its easier, faster, cheaper.

Regarding how to fill out forms, kelangan po ba tlga dont leave any blanks? pano po un pag not applicable? do i have to right not applicable sa lahat ng blanks? parang ung sa work history po, what if i have not worked as a nurse in the last 2 to 5 years. do i hav to check the box only and write not applicable to all the blanks? and in checking boxes po, dapat po ba hindi lumalagpas sa box ung check? any pen will do po? black or blue just as long as its readable…? tnx a lot! ur really a big help sir!

i just want to know regarding the nclex vermont requirements 2010.i was just confused.i’ve already downloaded from their site the application form but, i noticed that it’s different now. there have been some changes like for example the application fee. Before it’s $150, now $90. and also the verification of license is not included in the new form. i’ve e-mailed them but no response yet… i just want to be sure before i send my application. please help! thanks…..

sir pakiexplain naman paano ba yung ces. hindi po yung application ng ces ha. yung paano kapag natapos na yung pageevaluate. kasi magaapply palang kami ngayon sa CES. tapos yung application;picture;prc license authenticated; passport photocopy; 150 dollars naka pending lang sa bahay ng tita ko sa nevada. sabi ko kapag nakuha na yung result tiyaka natin ipapadala sa vermont yung appli kasi may ilalagay pa tayo sa envelope yung result nga. tama ba pagkakaintindi ko sir?

Sir, Is it okay if I edit the PDF form online for NCLEX Vermont and the CES Form and type out the info instead of writing it down? The form is inaccessible but their is this application online where you can fill out any pdf form. Will that be okay? Or should I write it down instead? Coz I really would prefer it if I type it out rather than write to avoid any errors but I’m not sure if it’s okay to do so.

Sir I have a question regarding the endorsement of my NCLEX ,I took my NCLEX in Ca state BON and I was given 3 yrs period for my ssn since retrogression I didnt meet their requirements about the ssn. CES is different from CGFNS exam. Vermont needs CES for endorsement, so you really have to do it.

Hi sir Noy. i am having confusions regarding the application for nclex in vermont. i was wondering what form do i need to present to the BON of vermont with regards to my transcript of records. because my friend who applied for nclex in california told me that the request for transcript etc is within the nclex application form but i don’t see one in the application form for vermont. and what is CES? thank you very much.

There’s no request for transcript form in vt application. Instead it’s in the CES. CES is the evaluation of the nursing education performed by cgfns. Read more about CES in my post here in this site.

Hi sir noy, it’s me again po. Sorry po but can I ask something about how i applied online for the CES. You see, I think I made a mistake. I typed in “CERTIFICATE OF GRADUATION” instead of “DIPLOMA” for both my secondary and tertiary school. Pero nakalagay sa DIPLOMA ko po both is “DIPLOMA” not “CERTIFICATE OF GRADUATION”. I can’t edit it. Does it matter? May magiging question po ba yung CGFNS about the difference when I send my HS and College Diploma? I’m worried that they will question it and I’m hoping to avoid any delays in the processing of my application.

Sir Noy, 2nd courser ako, from what I read, sabi nyo na wag na isama yung 1st course, ang problem ko ay nakalagay sa nursing TOR ko yung 1st school at course ko, hindi kaya magkaroon ng conflict? baka isipin nila na bakit hindi ko isinama yung 1st course ko sa education overview?

let me just see if i understand it correctly, to take VERMONT NCLEX, i must have CES first and it costs $328 right? and once approved by the CGFNS, i can take my NCLEX in Vermont already which costs $150? other than that wala ng gastos? and if i pass Vermont NCLEX-RN, do i need an SSN to get my license in Vermont? how long is its validity? thanks!

CES is $335, tapos apply ka sa vermont, $150. kung ok na register Pearson, $200, tapos scheduling kung outside US, $150.
