Vermont Candidate ID announcement
In a move to expedite the processing and issuance of ATT, Vermont now accepts sending of Pearsonvue Candidate Identification Number through email after registering with Pearsonvue. Here’s the official announcement from the site vtprofessionals.org:
Announcement: Applicants who have been approved for their initial exam (not applicable to retake exam applicants) now have the option to send their Pearson Vue Candidate ID number to us through email to be made eligible to receive your Authorization To Test (ATT). You should send the information to us at foreign_nurse@sec.state.vt.us . DO NOT send the information if you have not been approved. Do not register with Pearson Vue or send the email until you are ready to take the exam. Once we receive the email from you, we will issue your ATT within ten days. As soon as that ATT is issued, you only have 90 days to take the exam. When you have been approved and are ready to test:
- Put “approval” in the subject box of your email.
- Include your FULL name (Last Name, First Name, Middle Initial)
- Include your Date of Birth
- Include your Candidate I.D. Number (7-9 digits long, referred to as the “candidate ID” number in your Pearson Vue registration confirmation)
For additional information about Pearson Vue registration, and many other issues, please see our International Nurse Frequently Asked Questions Page.
This is a positive development because nurses dont have to shell out extra money for mailing the white card they supplied.

You applied at Vermont, right? Check your Candidate Identification Number in your email, and send it to Vermont together with your name and date of birth.

hello,,
there’s a line in the application form that asks for the pearson vue candidate information number. do i need to register to pearson before i send the application? im not sure i cannot take the nclex as soon as i receive my att,, thanks
[Reply]
Don’t register with pearson yet. Wait for your eligibility.

Hi nurse nonoy, I received my eligibility from vermont last june 1. I was just wondering if after I send them my candidate ID number the 10 days count starts. Or there is no assurance to that?
[Reply]
You have to register with pearsonvue first, then they will immediately give you your Candidate ID number thru email. You will then mail your name, candidate id number, date of birth to vermont, and in 1-10 days they will issue your ATT. Once your ATT is issued you have 90 days to schedule AND take the exam.

re: Any tips?
Sirs I would like to ask for advise on my preparation for the test.
I already have my sked on wed 9am in makati city.
How many hours is the exam?
Where can I eat my lunch break?
What should I wear, can I wear just plain shirt and jacket?
Can i bring a lucky charm-thing while taking the test?
pardon me, i do not know where i will post this
concern of mine.

hi sir noy, ask lang poh ako panu mu malalaman kung nakapasa ka? i mean without the quick result? kasi i’m confuse poh… approve na lahat pati “passed the nclex exam” na part sa account ko sa vermont… pasado poh ba yan? wala pa poh yung mail eh and wala din poh akung natanggap na email from them
[Reply]
They send your results thru snail mail. Baka nawala sa mailing. If you’re status says that you passed the nclex, pasado ka na. If you wanna be sure, look for your name on the list of licensees sa website ng Vt, kung nandoon, pasado ka.
